Tamara is honored to be a part of the I AM Wellness Center team as a massage therapist. Her yoga practice began when she was a teen, after her father gifted her with a yoga mat and complete set of Yoga Journal videos. Tamara completed her massage therapy training in 2004 from Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in Jacksonville. Her massage training has since expanded to include reiki, reflexology, John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach, prenatal massage, and Thai massage.

Confident she is living her life’s purpose, she offers a variety of modalities, to help others graciously connect to their true authentic self.
Reiki is an ancient healing art that facilitates deep relaxation. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words Rei meaning “Universal life” and ki meaning “life force energy”, “prana”, or “chi”. The holistic approach of Reiki is Universal life force energy channeled into another person for purpose of healing. This energy is based on Universal love and goes where it is needed to stimulate the innate healing ability of the body.

“Tamara, I am deeply thankful for the massages you have given me. Your healing hands are strong yet gentle and have helped me tremendously over the years. Your compassion, understanding and generosity are one of a kind, and I truly appreciate all you have done for me. You are such a gift to all who are lucky enough to receive massage from you. Thank you!”

“Intuitively, Tamara sensed the pain in my arm and helped me identify the source of the problem. My condition improved greatly over the weeks as she gently stretched and manipulated the muscles, showed me exercises to do at home, explained why I should avoid certain positions at my desk and checked on my progress. It took some time, but I am now free of that pain. I’m eternally grateful for Tamara’s knowledge and experience and for her gift of touch.
